Connecting clinical systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

TechKTM builds the interoperability, data and security infrastructure that lets healthcare organisations use their clinical information — without compromising patient privacy or regulatory standing.

The state of technology in healthcare

A typical provider runs an EHR, a lab system, an imaging archive, a scheduling platform and a billing system, each with its own patient identifier and its own idea of what a record looks like. Clinicians compensate by re-entering information, and the organisation compensates by employing people to reconcile it.

The consequence is not just inefficiency. Incomplete information at the point of care is a clinical risk, and fragmented data makes population-level analysis — the thing that actually improves outcomes — nearly impossible.

Interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR exist precisely for this, but adopting them across a live clinical estate requires careful engineering. You cannot take a hospital offline for a migration window.

What we most often see

Patient data fragmented across incompatible systems

No reliable single view of a patient, forcing clinicians to assemble context manually from multiple interfaces.

Privacy and compliance constraints on data use

Legitimate analytical and AI use cases blocked because there's no defensible way to govern access to protected health information.

Administrative burden consuming clinical time

Documentation, prior authorisation and coding work absorbing hours that should be spent on care.

Legacy clinical systems that cannot be taken offline

Modernisation constrained by the fact that the system is in continuous use and failure has clinical consequences.

How TechKTM helps

Interoperability and unified patient data

FHIR-based integration layers and master patient indexing that produce a reliable, current view across source systems.

Data & Analytics

Privacy-preserving access architecture

Access control enforced at the data layer with complete audit trails, so analytical and AI use cases can proceed on a defensible footing.

Cybersecurity

Clinical and administrative automation

Document processing, coding support and intake automation that reduce administrative load, with human review where clinical judgement is required.

AI & Intelligent Automation

Zero-downtime system modernisation

Incremental modernisation designed around continuous clinical operation, with reversible phases.

Digital Transformation

Healthcare: common questions

Do you work within HIPAA and equivalent frameworks?

Yes. Protected health information handling, access control, encryption and audit logging are designed into the architecture, and we map controls to the frameworks you're assessed against.

Can you integrate with our existing EHR?

We work with the major EHR platforms via their supported integration surfaces — FHIR APIs, HL7 interfaces and vendor-specific gateways — rather than fragile direct database access that breaks at every vendor upgrade.

Is AI appropriate for clinical use cases?

For administrative and documentation workloads, clearly yes. For anything touching clinical decisions, we build with explicit human oversight, explainability and conservative scoping — and we'll advise against use cases where the risk isn't justified by the benefit.
