Cloud & DevOps Engineer
Build the infrastructure and delivery pipelines client teams depend on — AWS and Azure, infrastructure as code, and migrations that actually finish.
About the role
Most of our cloud work starts with a system that already exists and a bill that is higher than it should be. You will assess what is running, design where it should go, and then do the migration — not hand over a slide deck and leave.
You will also build the delivery machinery around it: pipelines, environments, observability and the guardrails that let a client's own team move quickly without breaking production.
Cost is treated as an engineering constraint here, not a finance problem. Right-sizing a workload is part of the design, not a cleanup task afterwards.
What you'll do
- Design and implement cloud architecture on AWS and Azure
- Write infrastructure as code — Terraform preferred — and keep environments reproducible
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and deployment automation
- Run migrations from on-premise or legacy hosting with a rollback path at every stage
- Implement monitoring, alerting and cost controls that survive after handover
What we're looking for
- Four or more years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
- Hands-on AWS and/or Azure at production scale
- Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code in daily use
- Docker and Kubernetes, or a well-reasoned argument for why not
- Linux, networking and security fundamentals you can explain, not just apply
- Authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice to have
- AWS or Azure certification
- FinOps or cloud cost optimisation experience
- Platform engineering or internal developer platform work
- Compliance-constrained environments — SOC 2, HIPAA or NIST 800-171
Not sure you tick every box?
Apply anyway. The requirements above describe the shape of the role, not a checklist we score against. We would rather read your application and decide than have you rule yourself out.
